Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone!  Today I am sharing a card with you that reminds me of the reason we celebrate Easter/Resurrection day.  I used the Celebrate Today from Sweet N Sassy stamps set which is appropriate for today especially.

I colored on the stamp with markers before stamping my image and accented the flowers with stickles.  I spritzed marker in the background for a subtle splattering effect and used the SNSS Lacey Eyelet Border die at the top and wove ribbon through the openings in the die cut.  The sentiment "Each day is a gift" makes me think of the amazing gift of love that God offered each one of us as a follower of Christ- that is the gift of salvation through the death and resurrection of his son Jesus.  Salvation is the most precious gift that we can receive and are reminded of today as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.

Thank you for stopping by and have a blessed day!

Our challenge for you this week is to create a Mother's Day card!

Going along with our challenge, I created a card for my mom for mother's day.  I absolutely love the Mother die, it cuts so well!  I did pop up the word "mother" using very tiny pieces of foam tape so it would stand out.  I used MME Hazel collection dp and Stampin Up blushing bride ink and baja breeze along with versa fine smoky gray inks to coordinate with the dp.  Pearls accent the card for the finishing touch.

Here is a peek at the inside of the card as well using the new Thankful Innies:

The first 13 cards in the hop were created for your inspiration by the design team.  As you hop along, leave a little love behind, then create your own Mother's Day card and use the linky tool to add it to the gallery!

Just a few guidelines to remember as you play:

- You don't have to use a Sweet 'n Sassy image to enter (although we sure love when you do!)
 - You'll have until Thursday, April 24th at midnight EST to enter
- We'll draw 1 winner from this week's challenge to receive a $10 credit to Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!
- Please use code SNSFFC8 when uploading to Splitcoaststampers or other galleries
Share a link to your creation below.

Thanks for joining us today!  Be sure to check back again on Friday, April 25th to see if you won and to check out the next Friday Feature Stamp Challenge!

An Oval Challenge

Hi everyone!  I would like to share a card with you using one of my favorite sets from Sweet N Sassy Stamps- long stem silhouettes.

I embossed the silhouettes in white and sponged over the top of them with pool party ink.  I accented the centers with rhinestones and added a bow to finish off the card.  Such a serene looking card that is suitable for many occasions.

Also, the challenge this week over at Sweet N Sassy stamps is to use an oval on your card, come play along for your chance to win!

Thanks for stopping by today, have a wonderful day!

Happy 1st day of Spring!

Hi everyone!  Today is the first day of spring- woohoo!!  I just hope someone informs the weather that snow is not welcome in the spring (shaking my head as the forecast here in Buffalo has snow in 3 of the next 5 days LOL).

So since it is officially spring, I thought I would share a card with some flowers.

To create this card, I used 2 large post it notes to mask off the strip along the side.  I then brayered Stampin Up Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe  inks and removed the post it notes.  I stamped the Wildflowers from Sweet N Sassy Stamps and sentiment with black versafine and added some twine and cantaloupe ruffled trim to finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

  • Set of 6 dies
  • Coffee mug measures approximately 1.5" x 1.5"

This is such an adorable set- I loved working with it.  I die cut the mug and steam and added some stickles to the heart in the center of the mug and to the steam.  I used one of the dies from the borders and backgrounds die set to create the scalloped border on the bottom.  The inks used are primrose and pool  party from Stampin Up and the dp strip and ribbon are also from Stampin Up!

I have a very quick and easy card to share with you today.  The card is for my dad whose birthday is on Tuesday.  He is a no frills kinda guy so hopefully this will do the trick.

I stamped the new border stamp 3 times to create a subtle tone on tone bg for my banner.  I then stamped the sentiment which is from the very fun Birthday Bash set and added some stickles for the candle.  Some twine at the top to finish things off.  Super quick and simple today.
